And I confirm that the idea is not to put too much at risk of losing your visitors who need a simple and well organized site to find the information they are looking for and contact you to take action.
In this article, I explain to you what 5 pages are essential to have on an entrepreneur website (I am talking about the pages that we will find on the website's navigation menu). These pages will allow you to clearly describe who you are, what you are doing and why your visitors need to call on you. And they are enough to start.
1. The home page of your site

Your homepage is the main page of your website, the one on which the vast majority of your visitors will fall first.
You will find in my article entitled « I am an entrepreneur: what should be put on my home page? » All my detailed advice on what it should contain.
But in a few words, his role is to present in 3 seconds:
– what you do,
– to whom you are addressing
– and what problem you solve.
The idea is to say the essential so that users want to click on your other pages or on your call to action buttons to find out more.
2. Page(s)·your services or products

This page will allow you to explain in more detail than on the homepage which services or products you offer. Even though it seems obvious, many sites don't really say what they sell. The Services/Products page is here for detail how you can help your customers·es.
You can choose to create a page by service or product category (e.g. bracelets, watches, necklaces). You will put each page in a drop-down menu below the page « services » or « products » from your main menu.
This page is essential because:
– it avoids misunderstandings and demands that are not for you,
– it allows your visitors to realize by going to action (contact, purchase, quotation request etc.),
– it allows you to position your level of range and expertise.
Don't forget to specify for each service or product: to whom it addresses, the problem that it solves, which is included, a price range and the next step (take contact, fill out a form, pay etc.).
3. The social proof page (portfolio or testimonials)

An essential page to put on your website when you are an entrepreneur is the one on which you present your social proof, i.e. why you should be called upon.
If you are an artist or photographer, it may be your portfolio that presents your universe.
If others talk about you, it may be the links to the sites, the newspaper articles, the podcasts in which you are mentioned for your expertise.
But for all, this can be the presentation of the testimonies your clients. Whether it's a video, an audio clip, or a writing, it shows that other people who have the same profile as visitors to your site have solved their problem thanks to the solution you bring and that they are delighted with the result. For more credibility, put at least the first and first name of the client and his/her photo is agreed.
Remember to send links or buttons to users on this page of your site that proves your expertise.
4. Page « About »

Prospects coming to your site want to know who is behind the product or service that you propose. Page « About » will allow you to introduce yourself and create a link, making the experience more humane for your future customers.
Be careful because you should not say too much on this page. As on the rest of your website, the idea is to go to the essentials so as not to tire users who will not take the time to read spreads.
Just tell me who you are, what your values are or how you work, what led you to sell what you sell, and why it's interesting to work with you or buy your products.
Last thing: don't forget to put a warm photo of you on this page to make the experience authentic.
5. Page « Contact »

Your visitors must not Never wonder "how do I contact her/him?". A clear "Contact" page on your website simplifies contact and gives a professional image.
This page may include a contact form that will allow you to collect the information you need about the person who is interested in your products or services, and who will reach you in your mailbox.
You can also put the following information on this contact page depending on your case: your e-mail address, phone number, contact on whatsapp, address of your shop with a plan, links to your social networks, or link to your online calendar if you have one so that people can book a niche with you easily...
Think about possibly specifying on this page your response times and the languages in which you work.
6. Additional pages to be placed elsewhere than in your main menu or to be considered later
